This incident caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
